Passive House (PH) is an energy-based building standard that can reduce up to 90 percent less energy than traditional buildings. Heating and cooling loads are minimized through passive measures such as insulation, windows, passive solar energy, and shading. Our company is proficient in Passive House principles and practices in design and construction methods, to ensure the cost effectiveness and performance of your building. One of our most recent projects, Building NX at the Humber College North Campus has become the first retrofit in Canada to achieve Zero Carbon Building - Design Certification, awarded by the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC). The building's energy consumption has been reduced by approximately 70% compared to its previous level and making it one of the most energy efficient buildings in Canada.
